Integrating CRM data between an on premise, legacy application and multiple hosted applications.
This project streamlined contact and list management between three applications:
- Filemaker – Flexible contact management, easily modified by users
- MailChimp – Cloud-based messaging platform
- Google Contacts – Intuitive contact address book with easy navigation
While there are multiple Integration-as-a-Service utilities available to link MailChimp and Google Contacts data, the database of record for this client resided on premise with a highly-customized legacy administrative interface. This application, Filemaker, lacked contemporary open database connectivity methods. The remedy involved introducing a third-party Rest-API utility, RestFM, which provided remote access to the calls in use by Filemaker Server.
